Rain Bird becomes Irrigation Association platinum member
The Irrigation Association (IA) board of directors named Rain Bird Corporation (Azusa, Calif.) to a platinum member – the highest level of IA membership.
“For over 80 years, Rain Bird has been committed to solving the world’s toughest irrigation challenges,” said J.R. Bergantino, director of Rain Bird Golf and International. “By upgrading our membership to the platinum level, we can do even more to support IA’s efforts promoting education, professionalism, sustainability and a positive image of our industry for generations to come.”
Rain Bird joins Ewing, Hunter Industries and The Toro Co. as a platinum member of the IA. Its investment in the association will help the IA implement its revised strategic plan, adopted by the IA board of directors in September 2013. The new plan focuses on changing the public perception of irrigation by developing standards and regulations and educating frontline irrigation professionals.
Platinum membership provides expanded benefits, including increased industry exposure through IA’s media channels and exclusive marketing and advertising discounts. All member dues help fund the association’s core strategic initiatives.
